Tessa Thompson is going to be in the MIB reboot

In case you haven't heard, Sony is planning on rebooting 'Men In Black.' I know, I know, another reboot, right? Normally I would have seen the word reboot and kept scrolling, but this time Tessa Thompson's name was attached to it, so I stopped to read. Turns out Chris Hemsworth will be in it as well. F. Gary Gray will be directing and the guys who wrote 'Iron Man' will be doing the screen writing. It is supposed to be released in June of next year.

Back off already, Paramount had no choice

So apparently moviegoers outside the U.S., Canada and China are upset that Paramount sold the international rights for 'Annihilation' to Netflix. I guess they're mad that they won't get a chance to experience the movie in an actual theater, the way it was meant to be seen. However, when audiences were given a chance to see the movie in an actual theater (here in the U.S.), hardly anyone showed up. Not cool. Not good business either. Especially when their box office track record includes: 'mother!,' Downsizing,' and 'Silence.'

'Silence' put me in a coma but that's neither here nor there. What does matter is that it costs roughly $1,300 to take 4 to 5 people to the movies these days, so I understand people not going full movie theater for just any movie that comes out.

I suppose the point is that if you want people to make beautiful theatrical releases, you have to get your butt to a movie theater and put your money where your mouth is. Turns out everything's a two-way street. Typical.

Fassbender will be in the upcoming 'Kung Fury' movie

Don't worry, none of that stuff in the title made much sense to me either but it's all true. There will be a feature-length sequel to the Kung Fury short that came out not too long ago. As if that weren't enough to perk you up, it turns out David Hasselhoff is coming back to reprise his role from the original. To top it all off, there will be some serious Fassbender in the mix. I for one cannot wait.

It's hard to rationalize the fandom sometimes

Rosemary's Baby was one of the first horror movies that really got to me, disturbed me to my core. I love that about the movie. I hate that Polanski is a pedo. It's hard to rationalize watching the guy's movies since I'm staunchly anti-pedophile. But then, Blue Jasmin is one my favorite movies and we all know what Dylan Farrow said Woody Allen did to her. I feel like I don't watch these movies more often because I don't want to give these men any more of my money. If, however, someone were to put the movie on for me and I wasn't paying to watch, I'd watch. Come, look on as my morals dissolve like cotton candy in water.
