So I was skulking around online as usual when the news broke. As expected, the internet has some thoughts. Social media is not kind.
For the record, it never was. I was there for the dawn of time and it was actually more ruthless in the Paleolithic era.
Today the internet remains undefeated in unnecessary roughness:

Wyle himself was a little trepidatious about accepting the honor but says his wife encouraged him because he’s such a good husband and father. Awww. That’s really nice and made me reconsider posting this to the news today.
However…
Women aren’t graded on this, not in Hollywood or anywhere else. Are you kidding me? We don’t get crowned Sexiest Woman Alive for being nice to our kids or spending time with our husbands without asking them to do the chores they promised to do last month.
Clearly, I reconsidered posting about this.
