We do not resist Greg Kinnear because resisting Greg Kinnear is wrong and bad. He’s especially appealing when he’s doing the broken funny guy. There appears to be lots of that happening in this trailer despite the story revolving around suicide and loss. ‘Phil’ was released last month and you can stream it on Google Play, YouTube, Amazon Prime, and Vudu.
Trailer: The Good Liar
Even older folks get catfished online. In this instance it’s Ian McKellen’s character who’s doing the catfishing. He’s a con artist and he thinks (knows?) he’s scored big time with Hellen Mirren’s character. And while the hustle remains the number one priority, it appears no one is safe from the personification of feminine charm that is Hellen Mirren. Look for ‘The Good Liar’ in theaters on November 15.
Trailer - Zombieland: Double Tap
In case you somehow managed to miss this, here’s the trailer for the sequel to ‘Zombieland.’ And yes, it looks amazing, the chemistry still appears to be there, and Bill Murray is listed in the credits. Look for ‘Zombieland: Double Tap’ in theaters on October 18.
Trailer: It Chapter 2
The casting for this seems so perfect. I’m a sucker for Bill Hader so that was enough for me, but then there’s the rest of the adult cast. All of those folks are heavy hitters, so I’m looking forward to digging into some excellent performances. Here’s to hoping it lives up to the hype. Look for ‘IT Chapter Two’ in theaters on September 5.
Trailer: Brittany Runs a Marathon
This kind of reminded me of the British movie ‘Run Fatboy Run.’ It also strikes me as the kind of movie Amy Schumer was probably shooting for when she made ‘I Feel Pretty.’ That came out a little mean and to be honest, I meant what I said. This looks like it might inspire a little more than it mocks, and wouldn’t that be nice for a change? Look for ‘Brittany Runs a Marathon’ in theaters on August 23.
Trailer: Ad Astra
Imagine thinking your dad was dead this whole time and he was just out there becoming a threat to humanity via science. Space in a fun place to cause trouble. Look for ‘Ad Astra’ in theaters on September 20.
