Trailer: Snowden

April 27, 2016 Jane Smith

Here is the trailer for Oliver Stone's Snowden--the fictionalized version of what went down between the Feds and Edward Snowden. Oliver Stone directed and Joseph Gordon-Levitt does one heck of an accent. Plus, you get a dose of crazy-haired Nicholas Cage. What more could you want from a trailer? Snowden is expected to hit theaters on September 16th.

Trailer - Independence Day: Resurgence

April 22, 2016 Jane Smith

To this day, I think of the original Independence Day every Fourth of July. "Today is our independence day..." Ugh, that corny speech gets me every time. I'll be honest, I loved the original, but did it really need a sequel? I wonder what Hollywood would do if we all stopped paying to see these sequels?

Jason Bourne

April 21, 2016 Jane Smith

Matt Damon is back as Jason Bourne and despite this being another selection within a franchise, it looks far from boring. Jason Bourne hits theaters on July 29th.

Trailer: The Girl on the Train

April 20, 2016 Jane Smith

The Girl on the Train, starring Emily Blunt is a film adaptation of the novel by Paula Hawkins. The movie is billed as a mystery thriller and it will be released on October 7th. Looks like I have a new book to read before October 7th.

Trailer: The Birth of a Nation

April 15, 2016 Jane Smith

Nina Simone's rendition of "Strange Fruit" playing in the background just ripped my heart from my chest, and I'm bleeding happily because this movie looks absolutely riveting. I cannot wait for it to hit theaters in October. Here's to high hopes for authentic storytelling.
