I wasn't sure how I felt about seeing so many familiar faces in one movie, when there aren't a bunch of explosions and heart-pumping chase scenes, that sort of thing can be distracting. I didn't think I'd get into this, but by the time the trailer was over, my interest had been piqued. I love stories about dysfunctional families because who doesn't? Plus Christopher Walken's in this, so why not? The Family Fang hits theaters April 29th.
Trailer: Green Room
I've never seen Patrick Stewart play anything other than a fearless and wise leader (not counting his voiceover work) and I have to say, seeing him in a role that's a complete departure from that persona is refreshing. Green Room opens in limited release this Thursday, April 14th and it opens nationwide on April 24th.
Trailer: Born to Be Blue
Ethan Hawke is already getting a considerable amount of Oscar buzz for his portrayal of jazz legend Chet Baker. If you're thinking, "Hold up, it's waaaaay too early for Oscar buzz right now," you're not alone. I thought the same exact thing when I read the reviews, but then I watched the trailer and a few clips. From what I can see, Hawke is back and in top form. I'm excited.
Trailer: Trailer: Colonia
Emma Watson's new movie looks intense. Religious cults, political coups and solidarity sounds like a whole lot of interesting.
Trailer: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
The new Star Wars trailer is here.
Trailer: The BFG
The BFG or Big Friendly Giant is a fantasy adventure directed by Steven Speilberg and it's based on the book by Roland Dahl. It's about a young girl who meets a giant. However, he's not your typical giant because he refuses to eat children like his peers. Not only is he a big guy, but he's got a big heart. I don't know about you, but I love a story about outsiders and this looks like a good one.
