This one's a Mexican horror movie and it's supposed to be intense. That's all I needed before I clicked the trailer. I'm glad I clicked the trailer. This looks fairly twisted and I tend to appreciate that sort of thing. We Are the Flesh is in currently in limited theatrical release. Check your local lisstings. Official Release Date: 13 January 2017
Trailer: I Am Not Your Negro
Maybe it's time for people to stop rolling their eyes every time someone brings up race. Maybe it's time for all of us to listen. Maybe. Or we can cover our eyes, look away and pretend none of this ever happened. Again. Maybe this time doing the same thing we always do will result in something different. Maybe. Look for I Am Not Your Negro in theaters on February 3rd.
Trailer: A Cure for Wellness
This reminds me of a terrifying dream I had repeatedly for a time when I was younger. From what I can see in the trailer, it looks kind of beautiful too. The coloring, creepy visuals, use of light and dark, it all seems to congeal into something interesting at the very least. I feel like we should give this one a try. A Cure for Wellness comes to theaters on February 17th.
Trailer: All Nighter
This looks fun, plus there's JK Simmons. Also, upon closer inspection, I see a couple of under appreciated faces in this trailer. Let's hope the ladies don't end up disposable sidekicks. Fingers crossed. Look for All Nighter in theaters on March 24th
Trailer: Lady Macbeth
Sex and murder? Done. I’m in. If the movie builds half as much tension as this trailer does, I won’t be sorry. Look for Lady Macbeth in theaters June 2nd.
Trailer: The Sense of an Ending
You know who else doesn't pop up all that often to lead movies? People over the age of 60, that's who. I like my movies varied in all aspects, so why not? This looks interesting because we've all got stuff we keep to ourselves and stuff we don't remember accurately anymore. Look for The Sense of an Ending in theaters on March 10th.
