I didn't see the other movies based on the Dan Brown's books. I'd read some of the books and saw a part of the first film. I can't recall why exactly, but I never managed to finish watching. Maybe this one will be different. Puzzles and codes are fun.
Trailer: Microbe and Gasoline
I didn't know if I was up for another boy's coming of age story, but something about this one stuck. Maybe it's because as an outsider myself, I'm a sucker for an underdog. Plus, I haven't seen Audrey Tautou in a while and it's nice to have her back. Microbe and Gasoline is scheduled for a limited US release (NY & LA) on July 1st.
Trailer: Welcome to Happiness
I'll admit, I'm not exactly sure what the hell is going on in this trailer, but I'm intrigued. Also, that looks like an excellent cast to me. I'm down for the quirk. Welcome to Happiness will hits theaters and Video On Demand May 20th.
Trailer: Snowden
Here is the trailer for Oliver Stone's Snowden--the fictionalized version of what went down between the Feds and Edward Snowden. Oliver Stone directed and Joseph Gordon-Levitt does one heck of an accent. Plus, you get a dose of crazy-haired Nicholas Cage. What more could you want from a trailer? Snowden is expected to hit theaters on September 16th.
Trailer - Independence Day: Resurgence
To this day, I think of the original Independence Day every Fourth of July. "Today is our independence day..." Ugh, that corny speech gets me every time. I'll be honest, I loved the original, but did it really need a sequel? I wonder what Hollywood would do if we all stopped paying to see these sequels?
Jason Bourne
Matt Damon is back as Jason Bourne and despite this being another selection within a franchise, it looks far from boring. Jason Bourne hits theaters on July 29th.
