New Rule: If Saoirse Ronan appears in a period drama, you should probably see it. Look for 'The Seagull' in theaters on May 11.
Trailer: Dark Crimes
This reminded me of the Netflix series 'Dark' for obvious reasons. It's raining, everyone sounds cool, mystery is afoot and it looks like people are dying. I don't know how sold I am on Jim Carrey's accent though. You don't hear too much of it in the trailer, so I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Look for 'Dark Crimes' in theaters on May 11.
Trailer: American Animals
Hilarity plus Evan Peters makes for a good trailer. At first, with the questionable looking old-guy makeup, this looked like some sort of 'Jack Ass' thing but the trailer dispatches that notion almost immediately. Look for 'American Animals' in theaters on June 1.
Trailer: Sorry to Bother You
Watching Danny Glover working in a call center, giving a new recruit advice on how to use his "white voice" was worth the click. That and those murder / kill earrings. If anyone knows where I can get a pair of those, please advise. Look for 'Sorry to Bother You' in theaters on July 6.
Trailer: Can You Ever Forgive Me?
Deception is a scary thing. It's also kind of funny if Melissa McCarthy has anything to say about it. 'Can You Ever Forgive Me?' hits theaters October 19.
Trailer: Birthmarked
Few things are as relatable as dysfunctional families. This feels like it might just be an interesting take on your typical messed up family. 'Birthmarked' is in select theaters now.
