Call me a fool, but I honestly thought things would change after Sandy Hook. I may be naive, but I don’t want mass shootings, racial tension and violence to define America anymore. President Obama was right when he addressed the country today saying that this kind of violence simply doesn’t happen in other advanced countries. It doesn’t. If you don’t believe that, look it up. It’s empirical truth. The bigger question, though, is how do we stop this? Where do we even start? Stricter gun laws alone will not end this. This is about all of us and we need to start owning it.

Some of us figured out how to grow up online without losing our sense of humor and those are the people I like to follow.
